All out senior portraits

Updated: Jan 12, 2023

Being a photographer is one of the best jobs out there. I have the opportunity to capture pivotal moments in people’s lives and provide them with documentation that they can look back on years from now. A couple of weeks ago I traveled to Kansas City to capture Isaac’s senior photos. Since it was in my hometown I knew I had to go all out. I had the perfect locations already scouted out.

The shoot started Friday night after the band's performance on the football field. The weather was amazing, giant fluffy clouds everywhere. We captured some amazing shots of him on the field in his band uniform. Isaac is really excited for senior year, he couldn’t stop smiling and goofing around the entire time. I love it when my clients get really into the photos.

The next day we met at the pool for some underwater swimming photos. Isaac is an accomplished swimmer and wanted to incorporate him diving off of the blocks, underwater and showing off his best swim techniques. After the pool we headed to his house for a few portraits. I had a few ideas that I wanted to try out with water, lights and his drums. The photos looked better than I imagined. We finished out the set in the West Bottoms. I’m so glad I was able to capture the images that Isaac and his mom wanted. I guided him through all of the posing and showed him how great the images were through the entire session. I can’t wait to capture his sister's senior photos in a few years.
